What to Expect

Foundation and Practitioner

Adaptive Frameworks' public MSP courses run for 5 days and consist of two sections; Foundation and Practitioner. Delegates may complete both or either section of the course depending on their requirements. The Foundation course runs for 3.5 days, Practitioner (including Foundation) runs for 5 days and Practitioner Upgrade runs for 1.5 days. In addition to the Practitioner and Practitioner Upgrade classroom sessions there is some independent study to complete. The course is designed for you to learn the MSP framework and has a heavy focus on passing your examination/s.

Course Schedule

The Adaptive Frameworks course delivers the bulk of MSP information on days 1-3. The Foundation exam is completed on the morning of day 4 and the Foundation course closes at midday. The continuing Practitioner and joining Practitioner Upgrade delegates will complete an additional classroom session on the afternoon of day 4, focussing on the application of MSP in different scenarios and the exam format. Over the weekend between the course and exam delegates will have 6-8 hours of independent study to complete before the Practitioner examination held on day 5. The Practitioner and Practitioner Upgrade course will close on day 5.

Generally the courses run Tuesday to Friday and Monday to allow delegates to study over the weekend for their Practitioner examinations.

Homework

Each evening your trainer will ask you to complete some activities and additional reading in your own time at home. You should set aside 1-2 hours each night to complete this to keep up with the rest of the group.

Out of Hours Assistance

An Adaptive Frameworks trainer is available on call for you over the weekend before your Practitioner examination between 9am and 9pm for any questions you may have whilst completing your independent study.

Advanced Practitioner

The Advanced Practitioner course is usually completed with personalised one-on-one training with an Adaptive Frameworks accredited trainer. The delegate will receive a case study to read before approximately 4 hours of instruction and discussion. When the delegate is ready to complete the examination this will be scheduled at a later date. Please contact us for further details about the structure of the Advanced Practitioner course.

Pre-reading

When your classroom course booking is confirmed you will be provided with a pre-reading package in the mail. Foundation and Practitioner delegates will receive a text book and one page case study outline, Practitioner Upgrade delegates will receive a course folder and case study activity booklet. A letter will accompany the package with instructions for preparation.

Advanced Practitioner delegates will be provided with a case study and pre-reading package with an accompanying letter with instruction.
