Project Business Cases and the GFC
May 22, 2009 — darilyn (Views: 645)Steve Mills of IBM says there has been a noticeable shift to payback-analysis in business cases for IT projects as the impact of the GFC takes hold. Traditional ROI techniques and internal rate of return analysis have become subservient to the payback analysis. Short-term gains are important and to win an argument for a project. Payback within a year, preferably the current year, is necessary.
