Here is an entertaining talk about what makes people perform. Dan Pink, a former speechwriter for Al Gore, talks about the mismatch between what science knows and what business does. In today’s world and for most of the work required in projects and programs, extrinsic motivators will be less powerful than intrinsic ones. Watch the video (approx 20 minutes)
